Prescription Compounded TopicalYour Custom Rx Skincare formula is a clinician-prescribed compounded cream personalized to your specific skin concerns by a licensed provider and compounded in a licensed pharmacy. Active ingredients may include combinations of tretinoin, azelaic acid, niacinamide, tranexamic acid, clindamycin, and other prescription actives.
Emergency: If you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, a prolonged painful erection (over 4 hours), or sudden vision/hearing loss — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
Who Should Not Use Custom Compounded Rx Skincare
- Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals without explicit provider approval (particularly if contains tretinoin)
- Active skin infection or eczema without provider clearance
- Children under 18 without specific provider guidance
Warnings & Precautions
Sun Sensitivity
Prescription retinoids and azelaic acid increase sun sensitivity. Use SPF 30+ daily and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
Tretinoin & Pregnancy
Topical retinoids are contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Use reliable contraception if tretinoin is in your formula.
Initial Purging
A temporary "purging" phase with increased breakouts may occur in the first 2–6 weeks — this is normal and usually resolves.
Avoid Eye Area
Keep away from eyes, lips, and nostrils unless specifically directed otherwise by your provider.
Common Side Effects

Drug Interactions

- Benzoyl peroxide (may inactivate retinoids if used simultaneously)
- Waxing or depilatory creams (avoid treated areas)
When to Contact Your Provider
- Severe burning, blistering, or peeling
- Signs of allergic reaction
- Significant worsening of skin condition after 8 weeks
- Any rash that spreads beyond the application area
