Important Safety Information
Wegovy (semaglutide) injection is an FDA-approved once-weekly subcutaneous injection for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related condition. It is administered via an auto-injector pen and requires provider prescription and clinical oversight.
Emergency: If you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, a prolonged painful erection (over 4 hours), or sudden vision/hearing loss — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
Thyroid Risk
As with all semaglutide products, there is a potential risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. Discuss personal and family history with your provider.
Acute Pancreatitis
Discontinue immediately if acute pancreatitis is suspected. Do not restart without thorough provider evaluation.
Suicidal Ideation
Monitor for new or worsening depression, suicidal thoughts, or behavioral changes. Report any such symptoms to your provider immediately.
Injection Site Reactions
Rotate injection sites with each weekly dose to minimize local reactions including nodules, bruising, and discomfort.
