As a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist, it addresses two hormone pathways to deliver superior weight reduction in clinical trials. A valid prescription and ongoing provider supervision are required.
Emergency: If you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, a prolonged painful erection (over 4 hours), or sudden vision/hearing loss — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
Thyroid Tumors
Contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of MTC or MEN 2 syndrome. Counsel patients to report neck masses, dysphagia, or persistent hoarseness.
Acute Pancreatitis
Discontinue immediately upon suspicion of pancreatitis. Reassess before restarting therapy.
