Important Safety Information
Zepbound KwikPen delivers tirzepatide, an FDA-approved dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist for chronic weight management. Administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection via auto-injector pen, it requires a valid prescription and regular clinical monitoring.
Emergency: If you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, a prolonged painful erection (over 4 hours), or sudden vision/hearing loss — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
Thyroid C-Cell Risk
Tirzepatide has shown dose-dependent thyroid C-cell tumors in animal studies. Contraindicated in patients with personal or family history of MTC or MEN 2.
Pancreatitis
Acute pancreatitis has been reported. Discontinue and seek immediate care if persistent severe abdominal pain occurs, with or without vomiting.
Hypoglycemia with Concomitant Therapy
Risk of hypoglycemia is increased when used with insulin or sulfonylureas. Dose reduction of the concomitant agent may be required.
Gastrointestinal Adverse Events
GI events are the most common reason for discontinuation. Begin at the lowest dose and escalate slowly per your provider's guidance.
